As the new books for the fall season come rolling off the presses, we’ve got lots of events and launches lined up to give you a chance to meet our authors and hear about their new books.

We kick off October with the Nelson, B.C. book launch for Anne DeGrace‘s fourth novel, Flying With Amelia. On October 7th, join Anne DeGrace at the Nelson Public Library at 7:30 pm (more details).

Astronomer and author Dr. Stuart Clark will be in Toronto for the launch for his novel The Sky’s Dark Labyrinth, with a lecture at U of T on October 18 and a reading at TPL’s Runnymede Branch on October 19. Stuart Clark will also appear in Montreal at Paragraphe’s Books & Brunch on October 23rd.

Bestselling author Nancy Huston (Infrared) will appear at Toronto‘s International Festival of Authors and in Montreal at Paragraphe’s Books & Brunch on October 23rd.

Two new names to McArthur’s list are Brits Louise Patten (Good As Gold) and Prue Leith (A Serving of Scandal). Louise Patten will read in Montreal at Paragraphe’s Books & Brunch on October 23rd. Prue Leith will be in Toronto at the International Festival of Authors.

And longtime McArthur author Dermot Healy is back with his new novel, Long Time, No See. He’ll be appearing in Vancouver at the Vancouver International Writers Festival and in Toronto at the International Festival of Authors.
